Having spent many years in professional golf, I have seen numerous changes in teaching techniques and equipment. Whilst there is certainly a place for modern teaching ideas, I believe, from my experience of teaching players of all ages and abilities, that learning to play the game has become extremely technical, often with conflicting advice given by different coaches. This can cause much confusion and frustration for the players.
If you swing the club in a natural way, this will repeat under pressure. THE NATURAL MOVE is a method of swinging the golf club that will enable most golfers to improve their game without cluttering their minds with technical information. I do use the modern video analysis system, which enables golfers to see their swing and visualise the actual parts of the swing that may need attention.
I am a qualified PGA AA Member, starting my career at Fairhaven Golf Club as a trainee, before taking up my first full professional’s appointment at the Worcestershire Golf Club where I became the Worcestershire Professional Champion on five occasions. I was also coach to the Worcestershire County Team. I represented my country in the PGA Cup matches against the USA and played on Tour. I am currently a member of The European Seniors Tour, having won the Motor Seniors Classic.
