Estoril Eden is ideally situated in the resort of Monte Estoril overlooking the Atlantic. Only Twenty minutes from the centre of Lisbon, and thirty minutes from Lisbon airport, this four star hotel is set on a 25km beach overlooking the crystal clear Atlantic.
This eight-floor hotel features 353 bright, modern guestrooms, all of which are air-conditioned and open onto private balconies. Modern in-room amenities include satellite TV, telephones, safes, hair dryers, and minibars.
The restaurant/grill which opens directly on to the pool, offers a wide range of international cuisine, whilst there are three bars in which to relax, as well as the hotel's own "Kats" disco featuring two dance floors.
This area of Portugal is fast becoming the golfers choice, where other destinations suffer from overcrowded golf courses, the Lisbon area still offers a relaxing round of golf on relatively uncrowded courses. The Aroeira Golf Resort is a fully enclosed 345 hectare property set within a mature pine forest, just 20 miles from Lisbon. The resort includes two 18-hole championship golf courses, a welcoming clubhouse with restaurant, snack-bar and bar, a golf shop, golf school, driving range, swimming pool and 4 tennis courts.The Aroeira Apartments are situated only a few metres from the golf course, which offer a superb choice of 1, 2 and 3 Bedroomed self-catering accommodation. If you don't like cooking your own food, why not pop up to the clubhouse, where they will serve you breakfast , lunch and tea
Aroeira No1 and No2 Courses.
Aroeira 1 - Set in a 900 acre pine forest, Aroeira I is renowned as one of the best golf courses in continental Europe. Designed by the famed golf architect Frank Pennink, it has been in play since 1973 and has played host to the Portuguese Open in 1996 and 1997, as well as various Ladies Open Championships in its time. 18 holes. Par 72. 6,695 yds.
Aroeira II - Aroeira's second course is a Donald Steel-designed masterpiece with 18 holes contouring five large lakes. Inaugurated in April 2000, the course has five tees per hole, cementing its suitability for every level of player. Built to European Tour recommended standards, it has hosted the Portugal Ladies Open. 18 holes. Par 72. 7,000 yds. |
